Before we ever touch your home we want to make sure that we have a clear understanding of your goals and that you have a clear understanding of the cost and schedule. Our pre-construction phase consists of a lot of honest conversations about what you want and what you need, and allows us the time and communication to set your project up for success. During this phase our team works closely with you to answer questions about function, layout, selections and building materials. We can present design options and even provide elevations and renderings that can help you to make important decisions regarding your renovation.
At the end of this process you can make an educated decision about moving forward into construction, not only about what your project will look like but what working with us will look like. The cost and time of this pre-construction phase is crucial to reducing headaches on site and always leads to cost and time savings in construction!
Depending on the scope of your project, pre-construction is when we will collaborate with trusted designers, architects, and engineers as well as select any specialty subcontractors for your project.
Building Preparation
Once you have decided to move forward with construction it can take 4-6 weeks to prepare for build! This time is spent obtaining permits, solidifying our schedule, and ordering selections and materials. We will be in contact as we progress to our start date but this period is a time for us both to prepare for the work ahead!
Construction
We strive to be excellent communicators throughout your project and part of excellent communication is transparency. You will have access to a client portal where we update you regularly on progress, any delays or issues, budget, and schedule. We are in regular communication and available to answer any question or concern. We build for you as if we are building in our own homes and prioritize quality while keeping budget and timeline top of mind.
